1) Council of Chairs Meeting - Wednesday, April 18th
The next Council of Chairs meeting will be on Wednesday, April 18th
from 2:30 to 3:50 in Hill Hall, Room 315.
2) Vendor Fair - Thursday, April 19th
All departments, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the Rutgers
Newark Purchasing Department Vendor Fair on Thursday, April 19, 2007
from 9AM to 3PM at Robeson Campus Center, Multi-Purpose Room. This is a
perfect time to meet the University's Preferred Vendors and their
representatives. Come see the various supplies and services offered as
well as new products and technology. You are encouraged to attend and
take this opportunity which could result in cost savings for your
department.
3) Justice Symposium - "What Does Justice Mean in the Aftermath of
Mass Atrocity?" - Thursday, April 19th
The Rutgers Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights with
the support of the Office of the Provost & the Division of Global
Affairs and in partnership with The International Center for
Transitional Justice & the Documentation Center of Cambodia, invites you
to attend a symposium on "Local Justice: Global Mechanisms and Local
Meanings in the Aftermath of Mass Atrocity." Cases include: Bosnia,
Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, and Rwanda. For more information

4) Psychology Department presents "Is Religion Good for Your Health"
- Friday, April 20th
The Psychology Department is sponsoring a talk by Richard Sloan,
Professor of Behavior Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center,
Friday, April 20th at 1 pm in the Bove Auditorium of Englehard Hall.
Sloan is the author of the book Blind Faith: The unholy alliance of
religion and medicine. His talk is entitled: Is Religion Good for you

concert will be given in honor of Dean Lydia Rodriguez as she retires
from over 25 years of service in the Office of the Dean of Student
Affairs.
