1) Invitation to attend open forum with FASN Dean Candidate
You are cordially invited to attend an Open Forum for Dr. Elsa
Reichmanis, candidate for the Dean of Faculty of Arts and
Sciences-Newark.
Dr. Reichmanis is currently Director of the Materials Research
Department at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill, NJ.
She is a successful chemist, a proven and effective manager, and she has
a substantial and impressive research background.

3) Fall 2007 Academic Advising Schedule
The fall 2007 advising schedule is now available on the student
affairs web site at:

4) Academic Advising Forum will soon be on Blackboard
The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs will soon be launching an
Academic Advisement Forum through Blackboard. The forum will allow the
Office of the Dean of Student Affairs and the academic departments to
share information about academic issues, as well as academic policies
and regulations affecting the faculty and students on the Newark campus.
It will also be a way of getting departmental academic advisors, general
advisors, and new faculty to network in an effort to better advise our
undergraduate students.
The Advisement Forum is a work in progress, so please send feedback
and suggestions to Dean Lydia Rodriguez at lydia@rutgers.edu.
Academic advisors or FAS-N faculty wishing access to the Advisement
Forum should send their full name, title, and email address to Mehul
Antani at mantani@rutgers.edu.
5) Social Work Department presents Art of Change Exhibit
The Social Work Department is presenting The 3rd Annual Art of
Change: We Can Make a Difference exhibit on Monday March 26th from 11am
to 7pm. All students and faculty are welcome to come to this poster
session Exhibit and view various innovative projects of social change.
Students have created these projects as a response to some of the most
pressing social issues today. For further info please contact Elizabeth
