1) Wednesday, March 21st - FASN FACULTY MEETING

The FASN Faculty meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 21 from 2:30 p.m.

2) Wednesday, March 21st - IT Symposium

The Office of Information Technology, Internet2, NJEDge.Net, MAGPI and

Internet2 Commons are co-sponsoring a multi-campus symposium on how technology is becoming a more pervasive and critical component within the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Rutgers faculty and staff will have an opportunity to learn of novel approaches, tools and strategies that technology can provide. Each location will have exhibits by Rutgers units that support the technologies discussed as well as faculty and staff who are currently using these technologies and approaches. 3) Friday, March 23rd - Faculty-to-Faculty Best Practices Showcase

The Education Activities Task Force presents the 8th Annual Faculty to Faculty Best Practices Showcase, Faculty-to-Faculty Effective Practices:

Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning on Friday March 23rd from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM at the Oral Health Pavilion at UMDNJ. Cost: $35 per participant. Register online at: http://www.njedge.net

4) Prototype of SMART Classroom Podium

There is a new prototype of a podium that will be used for SMART classrooms.

Please contact Joy McDonald in the Office of Academic Scheduling and Technology at joymcd@newark.rutgers.edu to view the prototype and offer input, suggestions, and comments.

5) Busch Bequest Research Funding

Faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor and above are invited to apply for research support through the Busch Bequest. The fund is used to promote institutional strength and cultivate excellence in the biomedical and health sciences.
