3) Council of Chairs Meeting

The next Council of Chairs meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 7th from 2:30 - 3:50 in 315 Hill Hall.

4) Deadline for inclusion in March issue of R-N Connections News Digest

Campus Communications is soliciting information for inclusion in the March issue of Campus Communication's R-N Connections News Digest (www.newark.rutgers.edu/occ/pubs/connections.php). Material must be submitted via email to Erica Grant at shelaine@andromeda.rutgers.edu by Friday, March 9th in as close to publishable format as possible. We're looking for the following information:

-- GENERAL NEWS - short news items

-- UPCOMING EVENTS/CONFERENCES - submit info. on conference leadership activities, such as keynote or other high level presentations

-- PUBLICATIONS - please submit only information on top-tier journal articles/books

-- AWARDS AND HONORS - submit only prestigious awards and/or honors:

-- MAJOR GRANTS ($75,000 and up)

-- OUTSTANDING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT/AWARDS

-- NEWSMAKERS - please only submit citations in leading mass media publications such as NY Times, Star-Ledger, Washington Post, Newsweek, etc.

5) Deadline for reappointment packets for tenure track faculty

Reappointment packets for tenure track faculty whose appointments expire

6/30/07 are due in the Dean's Office on Friday, March 9th.

6) Deadline for submission of warning rosters

Warning rosters must be submitted electronically by 4:00p.m. on Friday, March 9th.

7) Final Exam Schedule

The Spring 2007 final exam schedule is now available on the Dean's Office web site at http://honorsnewark.rutgers.edu/fasn

8) Big East Career Fair

The Big East Career Fair will be held at Madison Square Garden on March 9th from 10am to 3pm. Rutgers students and alums can register here:

9) Fulbright Scholar Program Award Competition

The competition for the 2008-2009 round of Fulbright Scholar grants opened on Thursday, March 1, 2007. The application deadline for the traditional Fulbright Scholar program is August 1, 2007. You can find details on the new awards, check eligibility guidelines, and download materials at http://www.cies.org.
