"A
Rutgers Education in the heart of an awakened city prepares
students for a bright and intellectually challenging future
at a time when cultural diversity, urban ingenuity and civic
sophistications area once again at the center of Newark's
purpose and the nation's destiny."
- Prof. Clement Price
The Honors College is
located in the University Heights and Science Park sections
of downtown Newark, a place where the best of urban culture
and business meets quaint college town. University
Heights, consisting of Rutgers-Newark, NJIT, Essex County
College and UMDNJ, has
over 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students who attend
classes, many of whom live in campus residence halls and off
campus housing. The Honors College even has two
honors-only residence hall floors staffed by upperclass
honors college RA's. We invite you to come visit
and see for yourself how alive our campus is with academic
and social events, intellectual discussions, and students
who take advantage of the various artistic and cultural
attractions of our city and neighboring New
York.
