Internships

Building Character, Careers, Professionalism, and Your Resume

Research Assistantships | Community Outreach | Study Abroad

The Honors College internship program places students at various public and  private institutions throughout the tri-state area.  Participating in an Honors College internship will give students the opportunity to prepare for their post-graduation lives by getting real world experience now, while they are still enrolled in the university, and by giving them the chance to reflect systematically upon this experience.  Students will be able to apply their academic skills outside of the classroom, to gain important new skills essential to their professional development, and to practice thoughtfully describing and analyzing their work environment to interested third parties.

The Honors College will help students locate appropriate internships, work individually with students to produce resumes, curriculum vitae, and cover letters, and monitor the internship experience from start to finish.  We build character, we build professionals, and we prepare our students to take on the world.
